Decaf Posted September 30, 2008 Author Report Posted September 30, 2008 started amp mount on seat back so i can still put a car seat in put rubber washers and hardened hex head screws... youll see why unstained mount dry fit rubber washer - steel washer - locktite nut - regular nut to lock down locktite 100%... lol stained wood w/o flash to show grain next to unstained wood stained wood w/flash to show gloss next to unstained wood once it dries tonight ill mount it with the amp decals for an extra touch should be made and shipped by tomorrow or thurs hopefully so i can do something similar to this but audioque more to come just slowly... got all the wood cut today just sanding tonight so no fun!!
Decaf Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 used 10-24 t-nuts with hardened hex screws rubber washer - steel washer - amp mount tap - rubber washer - steel washer - hex screw seems really solid when i shake it upside down so why did i use so much hardware...? 1/8" rise off of the surface of the wood so air can be sucked up under the amp thru the holes made in the factory hopefully this plus a few fans will keep the amp warm at best my ghetto decal to give an idea somewhat of what it will look like except a bigger decal and black enamel instead of a sharpie will be used im liking it so far, plus i used minwax polyshade with polyurethane mixed in so no finishing coat... shweet ill prolly start my friends box tomorrow night, then mine next monday, moving along at a crawl but im getting shit done comments welcome as always
