bassprodigy Posted August 29, 2008 Report Share Posted August 29, 2008 either gonna need a Metra GMRC-03 or a 70-2020one is a bypass (70-2020) and one an integration i believe. theres MOST LIKELY a factory amp in there. hopefully you dont have to do a full amp bypass. those are bitches.... i normally just do full bypasses...... which really suck..... caddylac Posted August 29, 2008 Report Share Posted August 29, 2008 i hate to thread jack but this topic is right on. i have a 1996 cadillac deville concour with the factory amp and 11 speaker system. well i replaced all the door speaker with componets and ran a aftermarket amp with and aftermarket head unit. i bought the metra gmrc 03 wire harness and hooked it up and every thing worked but my battery drains over night so now i pulled the 40 amp fuse for my factory amp and every thing works and my car does not drain down. but now my head unit has no memory and have to manually turn it on every time i let the car sit for over 5 minutes turned off. any idea what i did wrong? caddylac Posted August 30, 2008 Report Share Posted August 30, 2008 I know my aftermarket amp is turning off when the car is off but I do not remember what wires I hooked up but I will pull it out and look.
