reinke Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 i prefer the garmin nuvi series. you can get the nuvi 200 for around $200 bucks. garmin has the most point of interest and the most detailed maping. also the garmin 350 is a great unit. tom tom is not too bad. there features that are built into the unit are great but to be honest they are not the most accurate units out there. a garmin has a much better warranty as well. and the garmins screens are not easily scratched. fuck mio they are garbage. for your sake buy a garmin Quote ----reference's---- meade916
E-Train Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Posted August 29, 2008 Are the garmins good at telling you when to turn, a buddy had a tom tom and it would say turn in 10 feet and the turn would be right there beside us lol Quote 1997 4 Runner Alpine CDA-9886 4 Fi Audio X Series 12's 1 Crunch GP3000D Pro DC Power Inc. Ipod Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 i use the Nesa Nevi - 43.. works great. portable yet comes with a car and wall charger and window mount.. and an USB cord to update... but the only down side is, if you havent used it for a week or so, you gotta let it connect to the satellite which can be as fast as instant to as long as 20 min (thats the longest for me) depending on your location. http://www.nesavision.com/product_sub/product_s01_01.html ^^ thats the one right there.. ^^ =D Quote Hustle hard, Stack paper, It's alright, ya'll haters, It's nothing, We major, You see me, Hi Hater! =) ~ Manio
reinke Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 any garmin will tell you about the turn when you are really 500 feet away. i own 3 of them they are the best on the market. wheni worked for BB i used to "borrow" them for testing. the garmin always got lost in my truck. i love them Quote ----reference's---- meade916

01xtreme Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 I know at best buy we sell the Nuvi 205 and 205w the most, and have the least returns on garmin products. just decide whether you want text to speech or not (verbally says the street names) if you want TTS go with the 260/255 (w). the W's are jsut bigger screens. they go from 3.5 inches normal to 4.3 inches for the W's. anything above that and you are just getting extra features you dont need for navi, like an MP3 player, bluetooth and what not.
