LOL The Re-install Finally kind of. LOL

The reason I thought I could throw a setup together so fast was because I'm pretty much just re-installing the last system I had in the truck. I wasn't fast enough and glad I wasn't because I have a real hard time cutting corners and what you see now will probbly be yanked out one more time so I can patch up acouple spots and put sound damping material where the box will be. (I don't want to get my amps dirty.LOL)

This is far from my original plans but I'm about tired of waiting on it to stay warm enough outside to get chemicals to cure propperly or paint to dry well.

So I say Fuck It and lets have some bass within the week and it also gives me a chance to try out my modded 1501BD under abusive levels.

The fan brackets, I'm proud of these even though I had them made for me, its still my designs. I'm going to try and get away with only 1 but if it doesn't cut it then I will install 2 fans on the amp or move the one in the pic over so its blowing directly on the amp where it starts getting warm at first.

Usaully an amp will start to get hot on one side or the other and I might have to move the single fan setup to be more efficient.

This is a rare moment where I have actually mounted something(that I have too have) so it would look nice to the eye instead of it doing the job its there for more efficiently. Rare I says, rare.

Its time to get up in the dash again.

In the back I have a Phoenix Gold TLD22 line driver. This item has turned out to be a nice and helpful piece of equipment and I noticed a major change in the sound after I installed the TLD22.

Rite off the bat let me say because I don't install the Head unit propperly in this truck, I go through CD players. I usually get a year out of them before they start to skip too easily so when I bought my last H/U I wasn't planning on changing anything(and still need to come up with ideas) so I didn't want to buy an expensive one because I knew I would destroy it before I knew it.

I really wanted to go back to Alpine really bad but they didn't offer any $200 and under CD players with the 4 volt preamp outputs and I had heard the talk about Alpines not so great preamp outputs (which my ears heard the difference when I got the line driver a year after) but I wasn't going to let that stop me.

I went with Alpine and the CD player is still kicking ass and I think its been close to 2 years now, but the word on the street had to have been true because when I added the Phoenix Gold line driver to my sub amp there was a drastic improvement in the sound over all and I was highly shocked to say the least.

I think I'm going to post up a few more pics and I'll be where I stopped at in reality.

Trying to finish up and clean up.

OH for the mids and tweets I didn't change anything at the moment and would be fine but one of my mids is on its last leg and a little noisy.

I'm moving up to a larger driver and can't install them untill I make new kick panels.

Pics of my baby.

I still use this truck on a daily basis at the moment and thats why I own all this equipment and am not installing all of it at this time. I'm just trying to be ready when I can do what I really want to do.

The most any of you will see out of my truck this year at the most will be the second 1501BD and the 4th L7 10.

When the truck is retired I will beable to do what I want with it.

Heres acouple of teaser pics to make you wish this was in your ride. LOL http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/dirol.gif

LOL I'm actually going to do alittle back tracking than what you see in the pics here but for the most part it will look like what you see.

I have acouple of spots on the inside of the truck that need to be fixed before I go on.

I actually started fixing those spots yesterday but I screwed up my resin and didn't put enough hardner in it. Damn 6 hours later and it wasn't cureing very well or at all.

What can I say, I screwed up and I will redo my work from yesterday at my next conveniant moment.

Tease.

I have been at this all afternoon and I'm tired of my computer, so I'm done for the night.

Thanks for looking.

One of those things. Just patching holes and fixing some of the water leaks.

At the moment I'm just doing the bare minimum to get a system in the truck for now.

Like I have said before this install will not be in here long. I have alot of work I want to do to the truck still and my timeing is just plain shitty and I'm flat broke finally.

Heres the finish up.

Dealing with a water leak. These trucks have a bad history of the rear corners rusting out and at the moment I'm just concerned with stopping the water from comming into the cab.

Heres were my power comes into the truck. I ran this wire as safe as I could and hope to never take it out but I have a feeling I will be pulling it out and replacing it with 0/2 gauge in the near future.

Since I messed up my resin mixture already I mixed up a super hot batch of resin and went to patching up acouple of holes and questionable spots and a hole I had put in the truck back in the late 90s.

JB Weld is some great stuff. I use it for alot of stuff like filling in old screw holes or making sure that I don't tear the truck apart from some modifacations.

Heres a good example. The floor in the truck is not level but its not much, so instead of framing up the floor I decided to just beat down the center hump with a 3 pound mallet and to make sure I didn't seperate the floor from the back wall I added JB Weld in the seam just to make sure they didn't seperate later on.
