ScottyBoii Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 how do u set ur amp to match ur subs, i have a 4 ohm sub? and wat is an ohm # and wats a good amp for 2400 watts
Krice420 Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 ohms are the resistance of the sub and the electrical current. depending on your sub if you have a dual or single voice coil and the amount of speakers you have you can wire them differently to make a certian ohm. the lower the ohm the more power you can make but the harder you amps have to work. most amps like around 2 ohms some 1 ohm mono. i would go to www.rockfordfosgate.com and go to the woofer wiring wizard it will make things a little clearer with diagrams. for 2400 watts i would recommend the kicker 2500.1 never really messed with one but know a few people that own one and have never really had much problems with it. if you have dual voice coils you can make your subs 2 ohm which is what this amp is made for and if single voice coil you can parallel them and make it 2 ohms as well. 2 18'' fi btls fully loaded 2 sundown saz 3000d 1 iraggi 200 amp alt 3 powermaster 3100d series batts 11.75 cuft wall after displacement tuned to 31.08 hz

Would it still kick harder if i added another 12?
