Bigg Boy
How would I go about hooking an alarm up with out tying it into the cars computer? Just give it a power ground, and wire all the triggers, and sensors up? I dont care about having to hit unlock on my pager and keyless entry... or remote start... kylecm85
you should not have to go to the bcm for anything if it is the car in your avi they are a little bit of a b to work on lots of relays resistors and diodes i am pretty sure the locks are multiplex one wire but if u dont want to do locks then you do not have to worry about that. Basic alarm is 12v constant 12v switch, ign ground, door triggers, and siren and horn if you chose. Shyne151
yeah i confused myself on that last post sorry shyne but yeah that is the basics. been drinking all day. haha, i was saying huh to the origional post not yours. But I get what he is saying now. You'll need.. 12v, ignition wire, ground, and starter wire(if you want to hook up starter kill). None of those will be at the bcm... all will be in the ignition harness, except ground, Quote -Installer for Duke's Car Stereo 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix - Ported Eaton M90 S/C, 3.5" pulley, XS Power Headers, 1.9 Rockers, FWI, Poly Motor Mounts, Custom Tune.
