ptcary
I ordered a used '06 PT console to upgrade my '03. (different console design). I plan to finish it with SEM paints. Question is, can I actually get rid of the texture/grain in the console plastic with high build primer alone, or would it take more than that??? Reference Epicenter's sticky on painting plastics in this section. savageracer
It would be best to sand it smooth with 320 grit. Then prime and wet sand with 600. That would get the smoothest finish.
The Performer
Yeah man, you gotta definitely take the texture off first. I think trying to fill it with primer would make that layer way thicker than you want for a good finish. Are you going for a glass finish or something else? Quote CERTIFIED BITCHES!!!
