more likely to have port noise/increase port velocity... think of it as the whistle effect

yup chuff, whistle, woof, huff it makes all those weird sounds

if you exceede the 1:8 ratio by much it makes port noise pretty pronounced, and with some setups the air can get over the speed of sound and make some funky shit happen.

some kid at a car show had a port so tight it almost sounded like it whistled, it was so weird

sorry bub but i HIGHLY doubt port velocity can exceed the speed of sound...that would be MACH 1. Which would basically create a sonic boom...which is impossible.

my bad aznboi, you're right on that one

the air APPROACHES the speed of sound and creates audible noise, something like past mach .1 you get noise, i got my decimal point messed up

Oh sorry um. Well it's a fiberglass box. But the rough shape is 36"wide x 14"deep x 17" high.

But I don't want the ports to stick way out, that's why I wouldn't be able to do the 48sqin port. Which would be 24" long.

Bump.

But since it is fiberglass there is more room to make it bigger, I just dont want it taking up my whole cargo area.
