codi Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 heyy guys, so i was at visions today looking at decks and i had saw on here from one of the alpine guys that at higher volumes the alpine decks kinda distort, and the (lets just call him a "sales man") any ways he said as long as i amp the speakers they shouldnt distort at all, but i was more interested in a pioneer one but he said that those are more likely to distort, so please feel free to enlighten me
EricM9104 Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 alpines clip at 24+ volume or somewhere around that pioneers clip at 50+ or something... not sure. 23 is a safe volume for alpine usually, and 45 is a safe volume for pioneers. 2015 Honda Civic LX 4dr | 110k miles | Stock 1996 GMC Yukon SLT 4dr 4wd | 260k miles | JVC Head-unit
codi Posted September 27, 2008 Author Report Posted September 27, 2008 so then really from their max as compared to their safe zone they are about the same? it would just be more for looks and or price and or features? like all i need is ipod capabilities
