Good Deal Or A No Go?

Well, few months back my brother in law offered to sell me his subs and amp for 1500$. which include 2 jl w6s (most likely v1) and the amp in which he runs them as well as the prefab bandpass he has. and well, i knew that was a bad deal but i mean he spent much more on them as he bought them when w6s first came out. but anyways, he said he would sell them to me for ~750 or so, prolly like $650 actually. so, was curious if any1 thinks that it would be a decent deal or not to bother?

i sold 2 v1 w6 not long ago for 150 and they sell all the time for about that around here, for 650 you can get alot better then what youve discribed

well idk, did those v1 w6s wang pretty good, cause i mean, his shit sounds pretty damn nice but then again, not much competition around my area, i havn heard em in a while but i'd assume they would be louder than my friend's 2 12" w3v3s

No offense to your brother, but dont waste your money. The w6v2s are where its at when it comes to the w6. My old 2 12w6v2s to a 1000/1 hit nicely but you can do much better for $1500 on USED equipment.

the old deal was for 1500, now he said for like 700
