jonnylowkon
NO my friend ... there is no such thing as 8/0 wire largest there is is 4/0 then after 4/0 your getting in to kcm and mcm wiring which is measured in mm...... no 8/0 .... also usually when you get to wire this large in the kcm and mcm its usually multiple run of 16 to1awg wires wrapped up in the insulation... and is very tough to work with deff not fot cars.... there is some if it that is even bare copper or aluminum wire they use for high volatge application such as high lines utility poles ecti have to agree .. Forevrbumpn
http://www.resistancewire.com/mainpage.php?page=gaugechart Wire size does get extremely large, but its very hard to find, probably like turbine motors for generators and stuff Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. truckin4life
yes i found out after i did more reasearch that i couldnt find 8/0 wire. but i found an equivalent size of what i beleive 8/0 wire would measure. Yea i think 1000 MCM would be the closest thing to 8/0 wire... Heck i though 500 MCM was over kill.... I would do 2 runs of 4/0 and then tape or ziptie together... Just for ease of bending... Ive messed with some 500mcm and its VERY hard to bend.... Best bet for bending is find a cheater pipe..... and no im not joking...
mrafrica
http://www.resistancewire.com/mainpage.php?page=gaugechartWire size does get extremely large, but its very hard to find, probably like turbine motors for generators and stuff that link is very nice. so i guess wire size does go big but stay in standard or w/e those large sizes were probibly from back in the early industrial revolution. because thats from when the electric motor part was from back then.
