bangin_explorer Posted October 21, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 21, 2008 if i warp the metal oh well. its only a car. i have welded before it has been a few years though. i had a quarter size hole by the gas cap after grinding and wire wheeling and i found this metal mesh stuff. the metal was way to thin there to do any welding and i really didnt feel like cutting out any metal and replacing it so i just took my chances with it, and it actually worked very damn good. you cant even tell its there. its got a adhesive backing that sticks to the bare metal and you just bondo or whatever over it and sand away. so depending if ya got holes/ate threw sections, that might be a option for ya also. they come in like 6"x6" pieces and you just cut it to size. a 2 pack of them cost like $5. well worth it IMO. .......................................................
