brsteinbach
This is going to be my second system and i need help picking out what sub - subs to get. Im on a REALLY fixed budget "school" and I am pretty fixed on the amp cuz of the price, but i cant decide what sub or subs to get. Its all between 2 12" alpine type r's or a single 15" type r. Its going in a ported box tuned to about 33 - 35 hz and in the trunk of a 97 grand am. I want the system to turn some heads and shake the s*it outa my car. I would really like your opinion on which would be louder and deeper. Thanks in advance Amp 2 12" Type R 15" Type R Dual 2ohm of course Quote 2 Infinity Reference 1252w 12s 4.2 cubic foot box tuned to 28hz Sub amp: 1 Profile AP1200 Speaker amp: 1 Sony Xplod XM-504z Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X492 4 and 8 Gauge Knu Big III In 1/0 All in my 90 Accord Diamonds are forever, but 9's end that shit fast.... So you think I should go with the PowerBass instead of the Profile... J/W? And i was thinking about an enclosure that i maybe able to fit in my small ass trunk. Yeah subs and port back thats how i got my install now and it sounds good. Maybe something like W:36 X H:14 X D:16 MDF of course which would come out to be a lil small around 3 cubed with a 3" square port? I used the Re Enclosure . Im open to any other ideas you might have for one just LMK. Eskii
I'd say that volume should be alright if you're pretty much maxing the subs power wise. LEt me know when you're gonna go ahead with this so i can pop you out some sorta enclosure design. Lookin at Aeros or just square port... I think ill end up going with a couple of four inch aeros just to save some volume. The design for the "build" would be pretty helpful cuz this will only be my fourth box. btw what amp do you think i should go with?
