dwright27 Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 I have a question though, on only one particular song, a bass comp song with very low notes, the amp will go into protect mode, but I was watching the cap's voltage readout, and it never dropped below 12 something volts. Could this be because of grounds? i wouldnt think so but it could be. Quote 2006 F-150 4 DC XL M2 18's Walled Daily Driver XS Power 4 DC 3.5kw Team DC Team S.P.L. Beckett Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Sorry to thread jack a lil bit, but i'm intregued by this, so if i was to ground my amp and power cap earth to the battery in my boot ( which has a run of 0/1 AWG wire from the front positive and negative) i would have better sound etc? becuase basically my amp earth pretty much goes over the battery in the boot so i could easily attach it to the battery instead of the chassis! thanks!! yeas man, that box is pretty damn big! looks like a good job..............do you have any more build pics of the box etc? btw the only thing i would say to have done is to router all the edges on the box......makes it look so much nicer IMO bud:) Good Job!! x Quote JS Fraser *Alpine Typr-R 12" *JBL GTO 1200.1 Sub Amp *Alpine PDX-4.100 *Rockford Fosgate Power 6.5's *Rockford Fosgate Fanatics 6.5's Both in front doors *0/1 Guage wiring from front Junction Boxes to 120AH Battery In Boot (battery removed because too small for alternator) *140 Amp HO Alternator *Alpine Head Unit -------------------------------------------------------------------------x------------------------------------------------------------------------------
