Hertz And Alpine

Ive decided to buy some new speakers and and a nice amp to power them. I just want to make sure everything will work together before the purchase.

Im going with a set of Hertz HSK165 and also HCX165. Found an Alpine which seems to be the perfect size amp for what im looking for I believe, it the Alpine PDX-4.100. Says it does 100x4 @ 4ohms.

This is the correct size amp for powering those two sets of speakers correct?

Also Im kind of new to setting up components. I will most likely have acouple questions about adjusting the settings on the amp correctly.

And will the mid be fine "free-aired" in the stock door location or will it require some type of small enclosure/box.

thatll work just fine. but for a little bit more "punch" out of the mids, you should build a little enclosure or put them foam baffles in your door.

Cool thanks. Ill probably just get the foam baffles then...that'll be alot easier.

I saw you have or had the Hi-energies. Would you say I'd notice a big difference switching from my infinity ref. to these Hertz?

i havent really messed with the infinitys except at best buy, and i didnt really like them. so i would think u would notice a good difference.. i had them in my truck and plan on getting them again when money allows me to.
