-z71.
Alright guy's i've always been interested in "systems" and things regarding bass. I would love to have a system, but do not know what to get any help is appreciated! I do know i'd like to either have the FI BTL 15 (x2) or DC lvl4 15's (x2). The amp, well I want the 3000D but cash is kinda low so i'm debating whether to get 2 1500D's for the time being. I have no idea what the hell to get, any help? BTW: The most wattage around here is 1500 so i want to make that look really shitty & shake the block :hairtrick: Edit: The backseat is going out Edited October 19, 2008 by -z71. BigPimpin91
Kind of a toss-up. BTL's need about 2k to start getting moving. DC's would be great on 1500 Apiece. LV5's Would be a more fair comparison to the BTL. Make sure you research a ton before you go for the wall. Make sure you plan every detail out as well. Brick2560
if you dont know that much about car audio, start out small. dont jump into the expensive stuff right away. The BTLs are so touchy that the smallest thing could blow it, start out small and work your way up as you learn. Get yourself some nice MTX's Quote "Buy some shit, Build some shit, Bang some shit!" - Dr. DB Joe owns my soul. Or you could scoop up some Mach 5 MJ's. I love those damn subs. Quote BigPimpin91's Banging Music
Moti
Yeah starting off small is the perfect thing to do. Practice and then eventually get a bigger setup. Some Fi Bl or Fi SSD's loaded would be more than enough for starters.
Nightshade
You aren't going to get 2 1500D's any cheaper than you will a 3000D. I do think that you'd be better off with a pair of 1500's, but in no way are they cheaper than a single 3000. Yeah i know that, but @ 2 rms the 3000 is only 1600 rms But w/ that being said.....that means only 1600 rms is being produced not the whole 3000 righT? They will be annoyed. It is childish and immature. Shaking walls isn't that hard to do, I've done it with only 600w. Go with some lower levels subs for your first system. When you feel you need more you can always sell your old stuff. Quote BigPimpin91's Banging Music

Why do you want to run at 2 ohms. You can get dual 1 ohm subs and wire the coils in series and then parallel the subs to get 1 ohm at the amp and a 3000D puts out 3000 watts at 1 ohm.
