That's what I'm thinking if the structure can't handle it.

Did you port your van or did you leave it sealed? Most of the 30+ sub installs I see are sealed (or at lease seem to be from the pics). I'm just wondering where I should go with that because I have the means to do either one.. I can't tell which would perform better, but I want to try them all starting with the experienced recommendations.

Sorry about the delay guys... work really eats up my time. I went ahead and bought some bracing because you guys are psyching me out on the structure haha.

I can't get all-thread in there. There's just no way to run from one side through the other, so I'm going to use steel pipe and circular bases with bolts and washers through the other side. It'll be a pain in the ass, but it's feasible.

I don't have a vid yet because people are not available around here and I don't have any more amps lying around. I work all day tomorrow, but I guarantee pics by the end of the day. I hopefully will have my 4-channel in and the bracing done.

I'm also going to strengthen the rear plate and the edges of the tunnel with L braces. Better safe than sorry right?

I'll get back to you guys tomorrow and I apologize for the slow down! Things will be hoppin soon.

Try it both sealed and series tuned into the tunnel (tune low like 25-30hz) see which you like best.

The tunnel manifold will have a front tuning up high that is one of the great thing about tunnels you can series tune them for the low end and let the middle chamber do the upper bass, dual tunings and wide bandwith FTW.

Alright, here's the update. It'll be about a week before I can run at full power. The amps should be back around then.

I installed bracing with 1" steel pipe and steel circular bases inside the tunnel. I painted them black and it turned out looking way better than I expected. But I swear, if this thing flexes, I'm giving up car audio! Haha

I put in most of the L bracing too and its holding together well. And I'm thinking about just putting a mirror at the end of the tunnel to give that 64 sub look haha.

I'm looking to find custom rubber gaskets or liners to dress up the front opening to the tunnel. Almost like the kind you would put on rectangular duct work but with custom molding on the front. Any one know where I can get that? I want it to be a square piece that would just slide right over the edges of the tunnel entrance.
