What do you guys do? I just bought a 00 Dodge ram 2500 cummins. It came from cali and I live in cold ass alberta canada!

What I've done so far:

Changed the batteries (I had great condition blue tops laying around)

Oil change (not really for winter but good to do)

Changed and tested the antifreeze (good to -40 now =))

While I had the coolant out, I cut the lower rad hose in half! And installed a "lower radiator hose heater" Basically it hooks up to 120v outlet and gets HOT, warms up the rad fluid nicely.

It already had a block heater, again obviously uses 120v outlet

I also got a "fluid reservoir heater" Its basically a pad that sticks to the oil pan and you plug it in to 120v outlet and it gets HOT, warming up the oil

I'm making my own winter front tomorrow so I can keep it up to operating temps while driving

I plan on having no no-starts this winter, I also picked up a bottle of diesel 911, in case my fuel decides to freeze :censored: I went a bit all out...

So for everyone who doesn't live in the warm ass deep south, what did you guys do to get your ride ready for the freezing temps?

Not that it applies to you, but i use alpine diesel when i head to the mountains. Think it's got wax or some shizz to stopp it from being too cool

I don't think we can even get that lol. I'm pretty sure there is only one choice for diesel around here.
