civichatch
looks pretty good. I have a 15 punch p1. YA i no it isnt the best thing around but i got it for a awsome deal at best buy. It was already installed in a 15 inch box. Wen i went to go pay for it the stupid girl at the till only scanned the box. So i walked outa ther with a 15 inch sub and box for 110$ canadian. Im only 16 so its wat i can afford. Anywase im jealous of those p3's very nice. Chris
hey thanks every1! yeah I had the cap from a while ago so i just kinda threw it on there with the amps. Exactly what does a cap do if no1 really needs them? I was gonna put a yellow top in the trunk as well but do you think having that cap AND battery will be a prob.? dmanson
shouldn't be a problem adding another battery along with the cap. be sure to charge the cap though Quote 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative. J3M Concepts
Exactly what does a cap do if no1 really needs them? A cap stores a charge so when/if your amp draws a bunch of current the cap can discharge it and take some of the strain off your alt. it discharges it relatively quickly though so it's only so helpful an extra bettery would be a better way to go only it is more costly with running 1/0 wire and a battery isolator and the cost of theextra battery
Ernesto
What kind of alt do you have?
Chris
stock alt. I think its 120 amp? the amps each have a 50 amp fuse so at max they will draw 100 but i dont need a battery isolator just to put in a yellow top back there from what i know. Chris
oh yea, call me ghetto but for that amp board everything is mounted to, i just cut out a peice of an old door and hollowed out the center. ran all my wires through & covered up the back with cardboard & carpet! turned out pretty good so now i have just 1 board with + & - connects for 2 runs of 4awg each plus rcas, rem turn on & speakers. that way i dont have to keep unmounting the amps and re-wiring. just pop it in & out Quote 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR.
