Hey guys, I have a Subaru Legacy Wagon from about 2004. I want some bass on my songs, but unfortunately, I'm not currently in a position to purchase subwoofers. The bass is decent as is, although it's not very satisfying. Are there any ways to boost the strength of the bass without subwoofers? Any help would be appreciated. Also, I sometimes hear a slight rattling sound when the volume gets up high enough. Are these the doors / other parts of the car rattling, or are the speakers going? Thanks.

it's your speakers blowing from to much BASSS lol.umm you could on the speakers but you'll get into distortion which is not good and will kill the speaker quicker.

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

Could be loose bits n pieces inside the doors....now if it a buzzing sound then it may be a blown mid...are they stock speakers? Only thing I can think of without adding subwoofers or midbass speakers....is sound deaden your doors or use speakers pods/baffles.

Also, when I am able to buy subs, how many watts would a stock alternator typically power?

Depends what amperage, what your car pulls, what class of amp, and what kind of battery and specs of said battery.
