i'm thinking about gettin this amp to power a hcca15". i was wondering if my 140AMP alternator will be powerful enough for the 2500RMS @ 1 OHM. and also my 400RMS ALPINE PDX?

i have one bettery......it is 120 AH deep cycle gel battery.

i may be able to buy amore powerful alternator for my VW polo MK3. but just as a estimate do you reckon my alternator will be able to power it and keep the voltage pretty high?

cheers Ben :)

*0/1 Guage wiring from front Junction Boxes to 120AH Battery In Boot (battery removed because too small for alternator)

you should be fine for daily bumping... i would slap a batt back there. i always do with about 2500+

The set up your talking about would sound great in my Tahoe. Trade you my dog for it. He has one eye but that only makes for bad depth perception so hey so what if he is running into shit, look at it this way he is easy to sneak up ninja style on. (right side only)

you should upgrade. Take it from a guy with four of those things. I ran it off my stock alt and two batts for awhile and the dimming was so bad it could almost stall the car out. These draw alot of current.

i say so, but just get a BIG ASS deep cycle batt for the back, when u save some $$

LOL there is 3 215 AH deep cycle ones laying around at work ;)

i'm really struggling to decide what to do. i want either that set up, or just add another type-r, i would rather do that becuase its a bit more easier and a heck of a lot cheaper for me!
