What Ohm Load Should I Run

Ok I've already paid for the subs, 4 T1 15's. They are going in a Prelude runnin them will be a T40001bd. They have to order the subs, my installer is telling me to order the 4 ohms and run them at a 2 ohm load, which would not draw the max out of this amp. I thought I should order the 2 ohm subs and run the 4 at a 1 ohm load wouldn't you think. I am upgrading the electrical to a 300 amp alternater and prob 2 kinetic batteries. Shouldn't this be sufficent for a 1 ohm load. Thanks

the T1s would be under A LOT of stress and running near MAX power as RMS if you get dual 2 ohm and wire them to 1 ohm.

i think you SHOULD get dual 4s and wire them to 2 ohm. your still gonna get around 3k watts (all you need is around 2400-2600 to make them puppies really show there stuff) so i agree with them because you wont be straining the subs, wont be straining your electrical as much and your amp will run easier.

the t1s are 600w rms

600*4=2400

rf t4000 puts out more than 3000w@2ohm

3000/4=750 per woofer

so u will already be pushing it... listen to the man

iirc the rft4000 pulls ~350a... so ur going to need 2 kinetik 1800/2000/2400 likely

you dont know much about RF huh. first of all 1 ohm will be too much for them subs. second that amp is a "mock 2 channel" which parallels itself internally. it would be a lil easier for wiring doing 2 sets of 2 subs instead of all 4 subs on 1 line.

i think he should get the dual 4s. wire 2 subs to 4 ohm per "channel" on the amp which will take it down to a 2 ohm load.

yep got the T2 15s and thanks bro. whats nice about gettting that big ass amp if you ever decide to step up to some BLs, Qs Level 4s T2s or whatever is around 1000-1500 RMS you will have the power. but you will love the way the T1s sound!!
