cartunez2004 Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 ok my buddy is gonna start my new box tomorrow for my jimmy, was suppose to do a wall but decided not to. ok so right now i have 2 soundstream t4-15s off a concept 2400d (145.2db ). so my new set-up now is gonna be 2 t4s off 2 concept 2400d's. my box right now is about 8 cubed, so i have heard if u are gonna put more power to a sub do a smaller box, (subs are 1000 rms 2000 burst but can handle a clean 2400 rms all day) but not sure how small i should go so i need some suggestions on how small i should go ect... and also what is the best port location for a blazer/jimmy right now its across the bottom would a slot port be better and also should i do a bigger port (if so how big) since the box is gonna be smaller need suggetions thanks heres my current box new toy 97 chevy s10 ext cab bagged 22s system (coming soon ) 4 soundstream t4-15s walled 2 concept 2410 mono amps REFS http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=cartunez2004 http://caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t...ht=LOUDCARTUNEZ

Decaf Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 ^^ yup have fun with 2400rms to a 1000w speaker... gl try 3.5cuft per sub w/100sqin port with vertical slot port... stick around 16sqin percuft... and for a jimmy u should be tuning around 36-40hz 45s everywhere, rounded port entrance and exit, use cylindrical support, not 2x4s, resin the inside and out, apply fiberglass mat should help too
