Guest KyleCannon Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I was wondering where you guys tie in the positive and negative in to? Do you run a longer wire directly to the battery in the front or go off another wire in the car? What is the best for the most accurate reading?
loganberry Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 hook it up like u do an amp, pot, neg, remote and best place and most accurate (im told) is right at the amp itself My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk
Derrick824 Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I installed mine for the sole purpose of knowing what the voltage was at my amplifier so I ran an 18awg wire along with my rcas to the back and hooked it up at the + terminal of the amp. For the ground and remote I just spliced into the radio harness.
RamenNoodles Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Exactly what I did along with what Derrick and Logan said. I wanted to see exactly what my amp was seeing and it works great. Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio
Guest KyleCannon Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Alright awesome, when you run a wire from the amp to the front.... if i run a higher gauge wire, wouldn't it decrease the voltage that i am seeing on the display since of the resistance along the length of the cord?
