They all still have bugger all thermal power handling but they seem to be making things stronger physically. I used to chew the crap out of the soft parts on my old ones, they were just weak. The newer ones seem more rugged. As for louder, probably not a huge deal. I am sure they get a little louder because they handle the heat better therefore you can give them a little more juice but if you had the 06 and the 08 model off the same RMS power, I don't think there would be a noticable difference right?
