bobonit
I'm going to attempt fiberglassing for the first time. I'm going to make some kick pods for 6.5" Midbass and Softdome Tweets. I've read just about every forum and "How To" I can find so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm in for, but the one thing I haven't been able to find is how much chopped mat do I need to buy. I'm going to order from US Composites and they have 3/4, 1 1/5 and 2 oz chopped mat. Which size is most commonly used and how many yards would be adequate? I'm sure I'll need some extra just incase I do some beginners f*ck ups Thanks, Bob. 97 Maxima SE Bunch of shit going in, check out the build Build Log

The Performer
Man you shouldn't need much at all, I'd say about 2 packs of the mat from home depot would be more than enough for what you're doing. But I guess if you're ordering, I'd say maybe 18 square feet then. Each pack you get from the store is 9 square feet, so probably twice that is enough. But just get more than you need, you never know if you'll need more later on. CERTIFIED BITCHES!!! Not being new at something doesn't mean anything. bobonit
Cool, thanks guys. I think I'll stick with ordering 10 yds since i get a price break after 9 yds. That will give me some to practice with. 97 Maxima SE Bunch of shit going in, check out the build Build Log
