Mosin Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 So last night I was driving around 30MPH, I started to slow down and my car jerked 3-4times really hard. I pulled into the McD's parking lot got out looked under the car, everything was good. Drove around the parking lot there a few times, it was good. Left the parking lot, and heard a strange grinding/clunking sound. pulled over not 1/2 block away. I got out, looked under the car and transmission fluid was steady pouring out everywhere... It has coming out from where the trans-axle meets the motor. The seal I believe? Is it possible that internal damage resulted of the clunking sound? Its the car in my sig. Aaron813 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Can you see any external damage to the CV boots or the transmission if you can see much on the transmission you might be lucky and just ruined a cv and have fluid leaking from there Quote
Mosin Posted December 1, 2008 Author Report Posted December 1, 2008 Can you see any external damage to the CV boots or the transmission if you can see much on the transmission you might be lucky and just ruined a cv and have fluid leaking from there It all looks good. The top of the trans looks solid still. It seems as if all the fluid poured out from the bottom half where the motor/tranny connect. IDK why it would go to shit all of a sudden. It worked and shifted smoothly up until last night. Quote Derp.

Mosin Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 how many miles you got on your tranny?? Motor has roughly 30k and the tranny has a nice, hefty 170k! lol Motor was completely rebuilt at 140k. Not sure why the tranny wasn't at least inspected... O well... Quote Derp.
