yea TL would be tight, but i wouldnt buy one until i have money stored away and extra money to spend.which is a long ways away.

You could show up to the local shows(Texas Basss Productions or Hardcore Customs) and get metered for $20. Also I have a friend in Flower Mound that might meter you for free.

That's what I'd do...I do it now to get metered at the local car shows on the AC :meh:

The dumbasses that host the carshows here say the TL is a piece of shit...I even argued with them about one day on a forum and they said if I didn't like the AC then not to attend their shows any more.

I have heard of some "JENKY" show-orgs/competiton setups PREFERRING older more "big number friendly" mics like the AC, Linear-x, etc for the fact that most folks come thru thinking they have THE LOUDEST SETUP IN THE UNIVERSE, and don't like it when you tell them: "sorry homie you didn't break 140 on the TL"

They wanna have at least one "160db" car at the show so the folks that show wil have shit to talk about and thus get more comps setup w/ better turnout (and thus more $$) in the future. Thus they "tune their mics" accordingly.

Pretty weak if u ask me.

The thing about adjusting the mikes for higher scores to get more people interested is true. When I did my first competition they used an old ass AC meter, and I hit 143.9 with my old kicker comp vr's and with my new 15's and over triple the wattage I hit the same number on the TL. I probably would have been very discouraged to find out that my old setup wouldn't even register on the TL...and pretty embarassed too.

My System:

Pioneer AVH-P3200BT

4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors)

8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash)

1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs)

2-18" BTL's (for now)

Crescendo 3kwp (for sale)

Complete rebuild coming soon...
