Bumpindemlowzz Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 I have a s10 with stock electrical system. What all do you think i should to do power a Sundown SAZ-1500D amp? I was just thinking a couple powermaster batteries. I noticed that powermaster has 16 volt batteries. Will that mess everything up getting those cause i have no idea going about this build. Btw im getting a 18" Fi BL Subwoofer fully loaded. 2010 Silverado 18" DC XL 18 DC 2k XS Power Batts
droopy89 Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 U have the same set up as me, but i have the RT T10001, which is a bit harder on the electrical, i have a 250 amp alt. and two kinetik batts. and i still have a bit of voltage drop,, and if it gonna be your daily driver, i wouldnt go to a 16 volt setup 1997 S10 EC Whats in it 106.9 Sq.ft. (unless youre at idle and idle sucks on that alt??)
Bumpindemlowzz Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 How would i set up my ride to accept the 16 volt batt? I dont want it to ruin anything. I cant just slap it in and expect it to be all good can i? Also how would it effect the amplifier? Boon Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 The rule with 16v seems to be that if you have to ask, you can't run it. Going to 16v can be pretty complicated. 10.x volts fo' life!
