bumpincruiser
ok.... do you want those subs just for show? because you can get alot better subs for that price. unless you just want the chrome basket.. and the amp... are you running any other speakers or tweets? even if you are a 6 channel sounds kind of excessive. and if you REALLY like the see through look you could probably get some plexi and make a new cover for whatever amp you decide to get. raytard
6 channel means he can have 2 fronts, 2 rears, and 2 subs, nothing excessive about that at all. if you want to go sealed and a design like you have in your photoshop, just build a box that fits there with a plexiglass or lexan rear window thats ~1.5 cubes. just a normal square box, and then mount it and build pretty panels to cover everything. ported isnt as simple, but a bit louder. your subs most likely came with a nice little booklet describing how to build a spec ported box (port sizes, depth, box size, etc. I notice you have a bit of a shelf in the front of the trunk (towards front of car), i'd say build the box to fit there, whatever dimensions it ends up being, even if the box is like 9 inches deep, use the width to get your volume. Team Bassick - Kimo
I assume the woofer selection is becaus of the chrome basket and you want to show it off. We've built a bandpass box in a '62 belair, it was a ginny pig idea I had for my '64 but it worked out great but, you'd have to cut your rear deck to bring the port through. The only reason we went with that was for no trunk rattle. It's a pair of Kicker cvr 10's and an Alpine 5 channel V12. Infinity components in the front and Infinity 6x9's in the rear. Turned out to be a very clean sounding system. However, the box is completely sealed so the woofers do not show at all and the amp just mounts on the back of the box. The '62 is bagged as well so like yours all the comonents can stay were they are. KIMO @teambassick http://www.teambassick.com
jonathancullen89
IMO i would go with different subs, ive just had alot of mad experience with thier subs. are you going for looks? if thats the case you will probably end up with a shit brand, good subs might not look at cool as audiobahns and ma's but they out perform them so easily. id go with a couple re's, FI, or dc's. more pics of the car!!!!! 1992 cavalier build 1992 blazer s10 kenwood cd hifonics hfi2500d 6 soon to be 12 12" hifonics hfi12d4's shit ton-o-wire Blurred Vision Audio Team SMD feedback/refs. clicky!-

It's more for show. I just like it cause they are chrome! i know audiobahn has the chrome ones too, but i've seen a lot of people at the lowirders shows has them so im just trying to be different from everyone else. Plus i already have the subs so i'll just use what i have now. Ok, since i cant seem to find the amp now, what do you recommend on using? It has to be and amp that I can replace the cover with a plexiglass cause i'm going with that see through in the components... tacomabanga1986
my uncle loves the 55's and i wanna do a build in that but he just got a 89 commaro n he's gunna let me do what i want to with it after he restores it so thats cool, and ma audio aint bad subs, i have this speaker http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=17906 and it has alot of excursion for what it is and sounds really clean too and doesnt need that much power to get loud, ied do a box with aero tubes fireing up threw rear deck, and cut holes out for em but redo the rear deck n put a lil chevy bowtie over the port hole so it kinda hides the port but lets air flow threw and should sound alot better than just a box fireing twards the seat, anyways good luck with ur build man car looks good here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit
