Not a silly question at all. I don't have that Head Unit, but I scanned the manual and it only refers to Audio being played from USB Audio Device/USB Memory. Supposedly it will play DIVX files, but it refers to them being on disc, not USB Memory. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Maybe someone that has that unit will chime in.

Pioneer do a P-Bus capable USB adapter for their units. Basically any Pioneer unit with P-Bus interface can support the USB device with this. P-Bus is pretty much the 'bus' Pioneer use for adding on extra devices (The changers use the same P-Bus interface so if you can take a changer than the USB adapter should work no worries!)

But it pays to phone Pioneer or a Pioneer dealer and double check 100% before ordering it.

im new to the forum although a long time car audio fan.. but actually i own the unit and i was originally tryin to use a harddrive for videos,and music..but cant get the videos to show up at all..actually tryd the harddrive and the music worked fine although took a lil bit to load.. actually talkd to one of my freinds thats famillar wit ubs and computer stuff like that and he suggested using a flash drive ..so well see how that goes..havent yet tryd the usb module though.

I got an email back saying it couldn't. I've seen cheap Boss indashes do it and this can't.
