i say always do the big 3 upgrade. always. i believe it will help the all around voltage of the car too even if you dont have an audio system in it. but anything 500-1000 watts+ i'd definitely do it

yeah i do be leave you now that im think about it, just for the fact of being able to transfer power quicker and not short out anything... i do think may alternator was stinking today like it was getting hot, i didn't hear belts squeal, idk i need to do it..

to re cap the steps, and yeah i seen the post of how its done,.. but do i

take a wire for the alternators power to the power on the battery, with a fuse block? but idk what size fuse ???

ground from the battery to the firewall i have like a show string wire, as of now, its a eclipse.. so it has thin wires.

and ground on the chassis to the motor somewhere solid ?

let me know. please and thank you.

DO the big 3. And the voltage gauge always helps man, I will never be without mine anymore.

ok well i seen the small square lcd ones online for like 15 bucks, but this will be dumb to ask how do i go about hooking it up to get the best feed back.

The fuse is not necessary. Some people have it and some people dont. I personally do not but thats just me. Fuse it about 18" away from the battery post. And depending on what your amp pulls, go a little higher then that. If it pulls 120 amps for example, go with a 150 amp fuse.

I use the square Stinger voltage gauge from Darvex.com. Its a great product and an ease to install.

Basically you will need to wire a positive wire, a ground wire and a remote wire. I have mine wired to my heaunit so that when my headunit powers on, the gauge will accordingly as well.

You will need some more wire to extend the length of it because they only give you about a foot on each pos, neg, and rem.
