Woofer Wiring With 4 Inputs

Recommended Posts

After talking with my brother, he doesn't seem to believe that I am able to achieve a 1 ohm load with the subs I have.

I have (4) Dual 2 ohm subs.

Here is a pic of the inputs on my amp..

Every woofer wiring wizard I have seen shows only 1 ohm for 2 wire inputs. My amp has 4 inputs. I have an Atomic 5000.1. Would I be able to achieve a 1 ohm load with this setup?

Just use one set of speaker inputs.

Or wire up each pair of subs to 2 ohms like in the second pic down here:

and put each pair in it's own set of inputs.

The inputs on the amp are internally linked ++ -- , it just makes it easier to hook subs up.

i wouldn't use no less than 8 ga for the speaker wire.
