mrafrica Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 i have an old rockford fosgate the punch series 10 that i got from a friends dad and its blown. ive had it for along time and i took the voice coil and everything out of the basket and motor. and i have decided to rebuild it. but i dont have a clue as to where i could get the proper parts to build it. could someone give me tips and point me in the right directions. And far as the best connection ever....... get a huge fucking battery, cut the top off, drop an alt in there and then pour all that into your big amplifier. or just smelt them all together.
Forevrbumpn Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 the older RF stuff is really hard to get, especially the lower models. best way to do it is look on ebay, there is a guy that has lots of RF recones for a lot of different models I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
mrafrica Posted December 16, 2008 Author Report Posted December 16, 2008 could i recone it with a differnt voicecoil and whatnot? and just use the rockford motor and basket as the base? And far as the best connection ever....... get a huge fucking battery, cut the top off, drop an alt in there and then pour all that into your big amplifier. or just smelt them all together.
mrafrica Posted December 16, 2008 Author Report Posted December 16, 2008 i found that ebay store. its circuit shop loud speakers. i dont have the motor and basket with me right now so i cant see if theres the right one in the store. theres alot of differnt punch recone kits. so hopefully it will work out. but where are some websites that have quality subwoofer building parts. or even sits that just have one good part on it. i want to get into building subs And far as the best connection ever....... get a huge fucking battery, cut the top off, drop an alt in there and then pour all that into your big amplifier. or just smelt them all together.
