galacticmonkey
If your port is say 25" wide by 7" tall in a CRX box, put it like 5" from the rear hatch and you can tune it a bit higher and it will still play the low notes that it would with a lower tuning if it were farther from the hatch, since being so close to the hatch helps it load.. Id just run 6 15" LVL2s and do a regular CRX box.
RamenNoodles
I wouldnt do port up in an SUV. Check out any build for SUVs and almost all of them are subs up port back. Sounds much better IMO. Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio
Charger
uhoh's box layout is a very good design. The way the woofers are laid out is much better than in your sketch. Port up is not something I'm a fan of, rear loading that port is the way to go. Look at Steve's box, his port can't be too far away from his rear hatch, only the depth of those batteries and look how great it works Quote Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos
