If your port is say 25" wide by 7" tall in a CRX box, put it like 5" from the rear hatch and you can tune it a bit higher and it will still play the low notes that it would with a lower tuning if it were farther from the hatch, since being so close to the hatch helps it load..

Id just run 6 15" LVL2s and do a regular CRX box.

uhoh's box layout is a very good design. The way the woofers are laid out is much better than in your sketch. Port up is not something I'm a fan of, rear loading that port is the way to go. Look at Steve's box, his port can't be too far away from his rear hatch, only the depth of those batteries and look how great it works :)
