Building A 159.9 Bass Racer

I have a plan, but I have some questions first...

What kind of under the hood setup are you 159.9 bass racers running? It seems I can't find many means to get multiple alternators unless you fab your own brackets or modify everything else. (Before you jump on me for saying that, I'm working with the entire list of alt companies right now to get a larger setup...NOT for the Cruiser)

But seriously, you can only fit so many.. I've seen four in most Chevy setups and I think it was 17 (?) on Anna Gates' truck.

I wanna venture to build a 160+ in a 98 Dodge Ram van I bought recently. I want to bass race 159.9.

So could you guys point me in the right direction for power?

I'm being totally serious here and not just fishing for comments. I have an experienced glasser who's gonna help me when we start and this van is huge.

I have no plans for sub type or amps. I just want to start from the front bumper and move to the back. And alternators are my concern right now. If you know someone who can help also it's a 98 Dodge Ram Wagon B1500 with the 5.2L V8 SFI OHV 16V engine.

EDIT: Hopefully this is the right section.

I mean if you cant get multiple Alts, you will need a good bank of batterys for sure

Definitely. I'm already planning on having a pretty big bank.

I just wanna know if I should go the length to modify for more alts since I can only fit two, or if I should just rely on storage and two strong alts for a bass race run.

Someone gimme some input.

Well I know how to run a 16V system separate from the stock 12V, but would running the entire car at 16V be damaging to other components? Especially regulating it upwards of 19+ Volts?

I take it that you got that van off of Big Jerry? chances are your not going to be able to find a dual alt bracket and will probably have to fab one if you want 2 alts your best bet may just be to run the biggest alt you can get then just go with a large battery bank

Nah, picked it up locally. Had it for a while but never drive it because I saw it as a potential project.

So far, a dual kit IS available, but that's it. I was seeking more. There's a lot of room beside the engine, but I don't have the first clue about bracket fabrication. I understand the concept, but I don't have the means.
