Red-navi-916
My air ride just went out in my navi this morning about 3 i thought it was my subs making a weird ass noise like pop pop pop pop im like wtf so i make a right turn all of a sudden just scrapiing im like okay whaat thaaa fhuuuk... i get out my car is 2 inches off the ground my tires are not scraping so i guess thats good...at this point i still dont know whats going on i park in the garage and just sleep on it for the night... i take out the air ride compressor this morning and just as i thought the little i guess...piston in there blew...What could be the reason? did a rock get in there because there isn't much it can do but go up and down and its about an inch big..well tomorrow im going to go to pick an pull and find an expedition and just take one off or i might get the whole setup brand new off of eBay it will cost me a lot but its got to be worth it..i hope.....im still debating because i might spend $300 on something i really dont need or i can go to pick an pull and get it forlike 5 bucks and have my problem solved... what do you guys think i should do....other then the suggestion i got from elvis "burn it" my insururance will probably make me pay them for taking this beast off my hands lol...... rusty959
I dont get it, you shouldn't start dragging if your compressor goes kaput..... you just wouldn't be able to fill your tank back up. 2013 Subaru BRZ12" Orion HCCA on AQ 22001967 mustang restoration project: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110765-mustang-restoration-build-2011-edition/ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/therusty959

X2...If your compressor fails it will not drop the vehicle but the "Pop,Pop" could've been a bag. BTW, this thread should be moved to airride/bags section. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/dirol.gif [email protected]

Ok lets start over...Are you talking about your "Auto-leveler" system that comes stock on some vehicles or an aftermarket "Airbag/ride" setup you installed? If the compressor on your "Auto-leveler" went out then YES, your car will drop because there is nothing to pump air and "level" it out. ***Once Again...Ask A Moderator To Move This To The Proper Section**** http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/dirol.gif [email protected]

Btrash
That is what I was wondering when he was talking about getting the part he needed from a pick'n'pull...... Thread title is misleading and his post is a little unclear and all jumbled together.
