Whats the easiest way to remove the headliner without damaging it, i'm wanting to dynamat the roof but i dont know how to get the headliner out, its a 4 runner and it has a sunroof

1997 4 Runner

on most cars you will need to remove the visors a pillar plastics - b pillar plastics all the plastics around the rear windows the sunroof should have a rubber trim piece that needs to be removed .bassicly anything else that you see holding it up.its best to have help ive done one in a escallade by my self it was a pain in the a$$.

headliners are a peice of cake. btw you need 2 people. if the fiberglass is damaged, duck tape fixes everything and or gaffing tape.

i've done mine myself in my explorer. it was kind of a pain, and there was a soft spot where it kept bending, but never really hurt the headliner. i've taken it out probably 3-4 times. gotta take the dome lights out, the a pillars, any other side molding that is attached at the roof. may be a couple clips you need to pop out as well
