el chiludo Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 I HAVE 4 15" DUAL COILS 2OHM L7 KICKER SUBS AND 2 HIFONICS BRUTUS 2200WATT AMPS MODEL BX22OOD AND THIS AMP IS STABLE TO PLAY AT A 1 OHM LOAD. I HAVE ALL THIS IN A 99 TAHOE, I ALSO HAVE A 15 FARAD CAP "THE CAP" AND A DUAL OPTIMA BATTERY THIS SET UP HIT HARD BUT I FEEL LIKE IT CAN DO WAY BETTER ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO HOOK UP THE SPEAKERS OR WHAT I CAN CHANGE TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE ON THIS Quote

THE ALTERNATOR IN THE TRUCK IS A 140AMP ALT. AND THE SUBS ARE WIRED ALL POSITIVES AND ALL NEGATIVE THEN INTO THE AMP WHEN IT GOES IN TO THE AMP IT IS IN BRIDGE MODE SO I DONT KNOW IF THE WIRING IS HOOKED UP WRONG ALSO THE BOX IS MADE TO FIT THE BACK OF THE TAHOE AND IT IS PORTED....ANY SUGESTIONS HOW BIG SHOULD THIS BOX BE AND HOW BIG SHOULD THE PORTS BE AS WELL Quote

THEY ARE WIRED IN PAIRS I HAVE 2 SUBS TO EACH AMP AND THEY ARE WIRED POSITIVE TO POSITIVE ONE SUB TO POSITIVE TO POSITIVE TO THE SECOND SUB THEN INTO THE AMP Quote
