bunkerking09
I'm going to have 4 4" psp aero's in my next box. All 17" long. Would the displacement be ~.5 cubes? I just did a basic cylinder area formula and i got ~.125 for each one. Also, do you think that 6.5 cubes net is two big for a pair of 12's? It would be tuned to 33 hz

banginAltima
Yep, thats about right for the ports. I think 6.5 cubes is way to big for two 12's. Maybe 4.5 cubes... What kind of sub are they? If you build it, db's will come... NSPL World Record Holder Trunk 0-1800 watts---147.9 with 1722 clamped watts @ 40Hz(9-20-09). Boon
Depends on the 12's and what power they're getting. I did 1 Atomic AP12D2 in a 3 cube net box with 1 4" aeroport @ 29hz. It would have been louder with another aero but it was very musical and sounded good with both a 500w amp and a 4000w amp. 10.x volts fo' life! Decaf
1.8 cubes - 3.0 cubes, 20 - 48 Inches of Port, 32-37 Hz imo i would do 5cuft after all displacement, tuned to 35hz w/16sqin port for those subs
bunkerking09
only reason the box is so big is because i was wanting to tune it lower. I'm going with 4 4" ports for sure all at 17" long. Box will be 22 inches tall. So they're be 5" from the bottom of the box
banginAltima
I think maybe you should go with 3 four inch ports and 5 cubes. If you build it, db's will come... Decaf
how much power are they getting, 1500w rms a piece or more? 3 4" ers would work well, ~37sqin port at 5cuft
