chaunceybro245 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 i want to do a big system in my 2001 toyota tacoma. i am going to take my back seat out and put 4 mtx 9500s an a 4000 watt amp. do i need anouther optima and a bigger alternator. if so how many amp alternator and what kind of battery for the system.

IMO, i would get as big of an alt as i could, so 250 amp pluss. and i would add either one or two(you could pry get away with one) Kinetik HC2400 or a PM d3100. then all 1/0 wiring. haha but thats me Bills KwB Team DC Audio Midwest captain

bobonit Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Don't forget to do the Big 3 in 1/0 wire as well as running 1/0 to your batteries for the amps. Give Robbie at DC Power a call http://www.dcpowerinc.com, phone number is on their site. Even if you can't find your car on their site, give him a call and I'm sure he can come up with a 250amp alt for ya.
