Port Tuning?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if any body knew how to figure out the port frequncy vs. port length, in other words how to tune a box without punching in what you want your box to be tuned at into a computer and it telling you how to build the box. You see, I am kind of new at this and I don't have enough to to out and buy termpack right now and I think it would benefit me to know this. I can build a pretty mean box now but I want to take the guess work out of it. So, if anybody has anywords of advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Best of Luck and Cheers!

There is a point of diminishing returns on the amount of equipment installed, kinda like throwing money out a window.

He wants to do it long hand using math, not using an online box calculator

That's the only way to do it.

Need an install? Hit me up.

Lv=Av*1.84*10^8/[Vb*1728(Fb/.159)]-.823sqrtAv

Lv= length

Vb= box volume

Fb= frequency

Av=port area

what i have always used.

If you've been doing something for 20 years, does that mean what you do it right???
