Beckett Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 i've normally been havin my alpine run like this; 1100RMS at 2 ohms at the amp, -7 on my alpine head unit. was pretty loud , the sub was moving enough. not sure how much power the R would have been seeing like that? 14.4 volts constant it see's when wanging full tilt. now i have turnt the head unit up to -2 bass on the head unit, and have the bass knob, just over half way. it's louder than before, subs moving more than it did i'm loving it lol i'm really curious as too how much power it's actually seeing? i figure it's seeing like 550-600 probly? cus the amps set at 1100 at the gains, and head unit is -2, bass knob half way, so i'd guess that would be about right? AI James Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 theres no way to tell on music what its getting, if you set the gain with a tone and oscilloscope then that will give you a good estimate where you are though
