Namosh Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 So today I ordered something from Sonicelectronix. Later they called my to clarify my address because UPS said it was invalid. I don't know why because they deliver here all the time. Anyway, I thought we had it straightened out but a little later I got a notification from UPS with the tracking number. The street address is correct but the zip code and city are completely wrong. I tried calling Sonicelectronix but they had closed for the weekend. I'm worried that by the time I talk to somebody Monday the shipment will be on it's way and will ultimately get lost. Does anybody have some knowledge of how I can contact UPS and straighten this out myself? I couldn't get anywhere at their web site either. Quote My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
mrafrica Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 i would call any ups number you can get your hands on. thats what i usualy do with the shipping companys. and usualy someone can point you some what in the right direction. but you should also email them too. because that will definatly get to them. cause they are open during the weekend. Bills Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 ok, listen to me. i'm a employee of THe UPS Store. i can help First, the whole valid thing is that Sonic prints there own stuff and anyone that processes with the ups software, there is a street-validation system. now the system is not 100% up todate. like if you have a lil spelling wrong in the street name, it will fix or give options. all you have to do is enter the zip and it will put in city and state. so they were just calling to makesure its right so they could overide it or whatnot. what i would do to redirect a package, dial the 1-800 number(get it off the website. i don't have it memorized) and you should get an automated system that will give you an option for track a package and other stuff. hit the number for redirect a package. then hit 0 to get an operator, they should be able to help you with that then. if that don't work(get you to a real person.) just hang up, redial and then press 1 to track a package and then 0 to get an opterater. ik, kinda a book, but this is what to do. haha. i have to tell people this at work over the phone all the time and explane stuff, but ya. that should help. Namosh Posted January 12, 2009 Author Report Posted January 12, 2009 Thanks guys. UPS didn't have the package yet so I waited till this morning and called Sonicelectronix and guess what.....UPS already had the package. So after being put on hold half a dozen times they come back and ask if I can just go and pick it up when it gets to the wrong address. Problem is I know the town they are sending it to doesn't even have that street in it. So, the next option is they can have UPS return it to them and re-ship it to the right address. This will add a week to delivery but I guess that's better than never. I guess that gives me more time to work on the box. Quote My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
