Aq Amp Question

Recommended Posts

well let me start by saying that I'm going to be installing my system in the next 2-3 weeks( I would have already had it done by now, but i decided to be a dumbass and get into a wee bit of trouble haha) anyways,

I have two 12 inch FI BL's and an AQ 2200d...the subs are 1 ohm dvc

now my question is, would I be ok to wire the subs down to .5 ohms and connect it to the amp? Or just leave both in series and stay at 1 ohm

the reason being, if I leave them at 1 ohm I'm going to have to stretch some speaker wire around the inside of my box, which I really dont want to do.

PS, its going in an 03 toyota Rav4, stock electrical for the time being

I'll probly end up doing this, but I'll have to stretch some wire around the inside of my port cause I didnt really think it through, but oh well

I just didn't see the logic in wiring the subs down to .5ohms, I didn't think that amp was stable down to 1/2 an ohm.
