Mellow18 Posted January 26, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 26, 2009 (edited) those hx2s i believe are 1000 rms and 2000 peak is it a good deal or should i just buy the amp and use my current subs? those hx2 look more beefy they look like 2 of my subs only with the same stats on the reviews the amp is 750 watts at 4 ohms..1500 watts at 2 ohms... and on 1 review i hear it put out 1800 RMS that it gets hot as well... In my opinion the best subs rockford has ever made. They can easily handle 1000 watts RMS. The DVC subs are good too but I like the HX2's much better. The amp is a good deal too -I'd buy the whole package if I was you good deal altogether-you can't go wrong with Rockford. Never used the subs but I know the regular HX2s were badass. Just know that you can't use the Power HX2s in a sealed box. Retail: BD1500.1 was $999.99 Power HX2 12 was $499.95 x2 = $1000 Rite there is 2 grand just for the amp and 2 subs. That pricing is from and authorized dealer and not MSRP. So you know that amp in good to great condition with all the parts can still go for $450 on Ebay used. (I have been watching them for acouple years) Jump on it! ISO Posted January 26, 2009 Report Share Posted January 26, 2009 Ya I don't know how to explain checking out the suspension on those to you. Its just something I have to do in person. With those being ported only subs make sure there is some stiffness or try and feel for strength in the suspension when you move the cone back and forth with your hands. If its too loose I would pass. I had a guy send me some HX2 12s and they were thrashed from being in a ported box. I mean the suspension was so weak I kinda feel the woofer was worthless to me. Try and feel for resistance in the cone and spider is all I can tell ya, unless someone that has used them tell you not to worry about it.
