07mazda3s
Today I took back my kicker cvr 12 and bought a power acoustik fubar 12. The power acoustik sub noticably more accurate than the old one. I can't find detailed stats for it but it seems to be much better all around. If anyone knows the frequency response of this sub let me know. I have it in a 2 cubic foot ported box on a 500wrms amp. It sounds really good, I think I am gonna have this sub for a while. Haha, I knew it. But yeah, so far, I like power acoustik way better than the mtx and kicker subs I've had. Its also 800wrms compared to the similarly priced kicker that is 400wrms. I feel like competitive subs would be in the $300-400 neighborhood and I paid $180 for mine with protection. 07mazda3s
I just slammed the sub for about an hour with the gains on my little 500w amp all the way up. At the end of that hour my amp wasn't even hot. My old cvr could get the amp into protection in a quick 10-20 minutes. I really really really like this sub so far. It sounds soooo smooth and accurate. Maybe its the fact that the magnet is 4 times bigger than my old sub lol. 200 ozs is pretty big. Slinky
i would properly set the gains with a voltmeter and a 60 hz test tone. but yeah, i have had no problems with power acoustik and im going to keep usin them till i do. if you like big magnets, ive got a 270 oz mag on each of my mofos. ;D Quote DD M4 Rockford Fosgate P500-4 SoundQubed HDC415 w carbon fiber cap 2 Rockford Fosagate T1675-S XS Power D3400 Under Hood XS Power D5100 in rear Michael Singer 200A Alt Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/153901-2012-veloster-update-842013-wall-build-4-15s/
