nice... i love these cars

Same man. When I bought this, it was definitely the best hatchback for the money on the market. I've owned it since June and I still can't stop staring at it.

I dig those cars man, how's the setup sound?

Thanks man. Right now it sounds surprisingly good for what is there. I am currently running the stock head unit and stock speakers, though they actually dont sound that bad and do get very loud. The stock stereo has 6.5 in components in the doors as well as my favorite part, a center channel speaker in the dash and all of it is powered by a stock amplifier. I will eventually replace all the speakers and power them with their own amp. The stock head unit also seems to be getting the job done and I really dont want to replace it. It is a 7 inch touchscreen unit with bluetooth and usb input. It is also tied in with a microphone above the driver seat as well as the steering wheel controls.

I need to upgrade my alt and batteries before I do anything else because I'm already getting some serious headlight dimmage as it is. What sucks is that Im running that p1000-1bd at 2 ohms right now so each sub is only seeing half of its rated power. It's going to downright slam though when I throw in that second amp. Hopefully I can get a vid soon.

looks good. you do all the work yourself? box sealed?

Why two seperate boxes???

The only thing I didn't do myself is build the boxes. I bought them off of amazon for $85 a piece as I dont have the tools or area to build my own. I live in an apartment so I was lucky to have the room to even install all this. The boxes are ported and I'll post a pic where you can see the port is slightly rounded over which is a nice touch. I went with two boxes because I simply could not find a single box that would fit in that space while still giving each sub enough air space. These boxes are PERFECT for the T1's specs.

I just added the second p1000-BD today and holy shit does it hit hard now. I'm running 2600 rms total to these T1's which are only rated for 800 rms a piece. They are handling it with ease, though I still have gain matching to do which will have to wait until i get a dd1 or oscilloscope. Currently, my gains are all the way down and it still slams. Stock alt and battery are choking and will definitely be the next upgrades.

I love the way this car looks. Wish they would give it some balls under the hood, though.

You can build a box in an apartment, just takes a lot of vacuuming and dusting afterward LOL. I've built a ton of boxes on my little-ass patio and in the living room. DO IT!!

Gotta love hatchbacks. Just look at how perfectly that roof curves towards the front.

Yea, they were definitely going for a fuel efficient design when they picked this engine. I was worried about adding all this extra weight to the car as its already kinda sluggish though I've gotten enough speeding tickets in the past that im plenty happy with this car.

Maybe I'll man up and build a box here some day though winter is almost here and Im a huge baby when it comes to the cold. haha
