Graph1cz Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 so my w6 is getting tiring. thinking of one 15 for daily. i want loud clean low bass so i was thinking either a DC sub or Fi Q or BTL whichever one is best, was gonna run 2k rms daily in a ported box to about 32 hz or so. any suggestions? just need sub suggestions right now. same price range as the q or btl please Quote

mazdaspl Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 I think 2k rms is to much for the Q. Maybe you could look into the DC lvl 4xl 15. They can take that much with no problems in the right enclosure. Quote

eliassami5 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) the q will be clean sounding but wont get that loud compared to the lvl4 and im pretty sure it wont last too long being fed 2k rms. I was thinking the same thing when it came to getting a new setup, first i went straight to the Q figuring it would have best of both worlds (sq and spl) but after doing some research and going through like 5 different subs im most likely going to get an Fi SSD with the flat wind coil and the BP power options. But with 2000 watts rms you are gonna be limited to the pricier woofers like the btl, maybe the bl's, lvl4 XLs, and the lvl5's.
